Hillel Assaf

Hillel Assaf is the Director of National Programs at the New Israel Fund. Since joining NIF in 2018, Hillel has held roles across multiple departments, gaining a broad understanding of the organization’s mission and impact. One of his proudest accomplishments was leading NIF’s response in Israel following the events of October 7th, coordinating efforts to support civil society during a time of crisis.

Hillel holds an MA in Jewish History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to his work at NIF, Hillel worked as a researcher with Breaking the Silence.
