Adi Ronen Argov, winner of our 2025 Truth to Power Award, speaks about what it’s been like to document, in painful, gut-wrenching detail, the impact of this war on all those who are “forcibly involved” especially children.

Argov, a clinical psychologist, mother, grandmother, and long-time political activist, is the founder and director of the Daily File, a tri-lingual website (Hebrew, Arabic, and English) that she launched in 2020 to systematically document the harm inflicted by the conflict. Her goal is public education: to bring images and information to the Israeli public that they would not encounter in mainstream media outlets. This prize will enable Argov to expand the project’s activities and to ensure the existence of an independent, moral, and responsible voice in Israel’s public sphere.
